Bio: I am a PhD student in Land and Food Systems in UBC. I completed my Bachelors in Forestry Science followed by Masters Degree in Wildlife Management and Biodiversity Conservation from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. I worked as a Research Consultant in IUCN Nepal for which I studied the effectiveness of mitigation measures used to reduce Human Elephant Conflict in villages proximal to protected areas in Western Nepal.

Research: My current research interest spheres around cross-cutting dynamics of economics and human wildlife interaction. Specifically, I am estimating costs of human wildlife conflict to humans and evaluating the policies/interventions adopted as solution to it, for my PhD.
